The organizers of exit polls at the exits from polling stations revealed the preliminary results of the parliamentary elections in Japan, writes TASS.
According to them, a coalition consisting of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) of Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and the Komeito Party will receive a majority in the lower house.
It is expected that the ruling LDP will receive from 212 to 253 seats with the 233 mandates necessary for a simple majority. Komeito, in turn, will be able to count on 27-35 seats.
The main force of the opposition – the Constitutional Democratic Party – will improve the result compared to the last elections and will get from 99 to 141 seats.
