    DWR Announces Release of Draft 2014 IRWM Grant Program Guidelines for the 2014 Drought Grant Solicitation. Today, the Department of Water Resources (DWR) announced the release of the Draft 2014 Integrated Regional Water Management (IRWM) Grant Program Guidelines and Proposal Solicitation Package (PSP) for the expedited 2014 Drought Grant Solicitation funded by Proposition 84.

    The most important source of naturally occurring surface water in the Region is the Kern River, which is regulated by the Isabella Dam and Reservoir, operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Kern River Watermaster. Approximately 1,300 acres at the eastern end of the reservoir is managed by the USFS for wildlife stewardship.
