.The ENGl E570 is one hell of a preamp, but it also comes with a price tag. It’s more expensive than the E530, but if you can afford it, I recommend this over the E530 simply due to the extra versatility. Also, it has full MIDI capability, so you don’t need an extra MIDI switcher like you do with the E530.

Great “bang for the buck” preamp for both live and studio use. I ordered this pre-amp several years ago from this site and was blown away by the sound! I primarily use the unit for direct recording into some decent cabinet impulse responses, however I have used it live on several occasions with a power amp or slave head.

If you can afford the mesa preamp, why don’t you buy the ENGL E570 midi preamp instead of the e530? I was looking amps in ENGL website, when I clic into rack section and ENGL’s top preamp did not appear. So it’s discontinued?? Why? it doesn’t make sense, is the best pre from engl.
