Just a note, according to the 260 owners manual, the 260 weighs 455 pounds and is designed “for use with 3-point category “0” hitch tractors. John Deere 318 and 420 Lawn and Garden Tractors use this mower.” The manual also recommends 6 front weights on the 420 and 8 front weights on the 318.

On the deck of the mower is a decal that says “operate at 2000 RPM only ” If I run it at the 540 setting on the pto it seems to run slow and doesn’t get a very good cut.
